Miller Moss, the sophomore quarterback at USC, entered the transfer portal on Tuesday, ending his two-year tenure with the Trojans.
Moss, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Los Angeles, was a highly-touted recruit out of high school, where he was ranked the No. 11 quarterback in the country by 247Sports. He redshirted his freshman season in 2021 and then started six games for the Trojans in 2022.
Moss threw for 2,205 yards and 10 touchdowns in his two seasons at USC. He also rushed for 352 yards and three touchdowns.
Moss’ decision to enter the transfer portal comes as a surprise to many. He was expected to compete for the starting job at USC in 2023. However, the Trojans signed Caleb Williams, a five-star quarterback from Oklahoma, in the transfer portal this offseason.
Moss is now eligible to transfer to any other FBS school. He is expected to have several offers from top programs.
