In addition to Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, Suarez has joined the team led by Tata Martino, with whom they hope to get a good amount of goals. But both Messi and Beckham know that they need more reinforcements, and one of the lines where they are looking for reinforcements is in defense.

That is why Messi is trying to convince the former Manchester United and current Boca Juniors defender, Marcos Rojo, to come to the United States to partner up with him in Miami.

The journalist Hernan Castillo, together with Augusto Cesar, indicated that “there are strong soundings for the captain of the La Ribera team.”.

The call from the United States would be rivalled by Palmeiras of Brazil, but the captain must prepare for preseason with Boca Juniors, which starts on January 2. There he will be reunited with his teammates in preparation for 2024, in which there will be several objectives at the local level and the Copa Sudamericana.

Rojo joined Boca Juniors at the beginning of January 2021 from Manchester United, where he spent seven years competing in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

His time in England was mixed, as he gained a reputation for dishonest tackles and plays, but he did manage to leave with four trophies, winning the FA Cup, FA Community Shield, EFL Cup, and UEFA Europa League.

Despite starting strongly, making 95 appearances in his first three seasons, he fell sharply out of favor, and in his final four years in Manchester, he made just 27 appearances.

He’s also played 61 times for Argentina but hasn’t had a cap since 2019, meaning that the 33-year-old wasn’t a part of their 2022 FIFA World Cup-winning squad.
