Lionel Messi is not in his best form at the 2024 Copa America, because he suffered a worrying injury.
According to Argentine media, Lionel Messi will undergo a medical examination on June 27, after suffering an injury to the adductor muscle in his right leg. This prevented him from operating at 100% in the 1-0 win against Chile, in the second round of Group A Copa America 2024.
” What do I know now? It upset me a bit, but I was able to play the entire match. Hopefully it’s nothing serious. The problem started in the opening match of the tournament, feeling like I was sick. I have difficulty moving freely because of the discomfort. Tomorrow I will see how the condition is ,” Messi admitted in the mixed area after the win against Chile on June 26.
In addition, the “atomic flea” also revealed that he has not been in the best form since his previous days. That may have also affected his performance against Chile:
“I’ve been here for a few days with a sore throat, fever, maybe that affected me today . It’s not something old I have, just a spasm.”
